Serving Northern Nevada since 1965
About Rilite Aggregate
Family-owned aggregate production serving Northern Nevada since 1965.
We’re Rilite Aggregate—an aggregate supplier established in 1965 by Bruno Benna and Ingvart Christensen and still family owned and operated in the Reno/Sparks area today. If you’re building, paving, pouring, backfilling, or landscaping in Northern Nevada, chances are you’ve seen our materials at work (and maybe you’ve relied on them more times than you can count).
At our core, we do one thing really well: we supply Northern Nevada with various types of aggregate materials—made for the ready mix concrete industry, the construction industry, and the landscape professionals who want rock that looks as good as it performs.
Built here, used here
Reno and Sparks have grown fast over the decades, and our materials have been an integral part of building the community right alongside that growth. Many buildings in the Reno/Sparks area have utilized our light weight concrete material in the construction of concrete floors, columns, and beams.
You may recognize a few local projects that have used Rilite Aggregate materials, including:
- Peppermill
- Eldorado
- Silver Legacy
- John Asquaga’s Nugget
- The Federal Courthouse
We’re proud of that track record—not as a list to brag about, but as proof that our materials have helped support real structures in the places we all know.

Materials for concrete, construction, landscape
What we produce (and who it’s for)
We supply aggregate materials for a range of needs, and we keep our focus on producing materials that fit how people actually build and work.
For the ready mix concrete industry, we produce light weight aggregate material, along with concrete materials including 3/4” concrete rock, 3/8” concrete rock, and washed concrete sand.
For the construction industry, we produce hard rock material used for everyday jobsite essentials—things like base for roads and parking lots, drain rock, and SP sand for backfilling trenches, as well as fill materials for building pads.
And for landscape contractors, we offer light colored rock that’s commonly used for planter beds and walkways—a practical choice that also helps deliver a clean, finished look.
Why lightweight matters
Lightweight aggregate isn’t just “different rock.” Its lighter weight can change the economics of a project. The lighter weight of our materials allows our customers to cost-effectively truck our product further than competing aggregate materials—which can make a real difference when you’re planning logistics and budgets.
If you’re comparing options, this is one of those behind-the-scenes advantages that quickly becomes obvious once you start running the numbers.
Recycling and re-use: turning demo into usable product
In 2009, we began recycling concrete and asphalt into usable construction products such as base, rock, and sand. Instead of sending that material to a landfill, we reprocess it into construction materials that can go back to work.
In 2009, 4% of our products sold contained recycled materials. We view recycling as a practical part of serving our region—helping keep usable resources in circulation while still meeting real-world construction needs.
Custom crushing when the job calls for it
Not every project fits neatly into standard sizes. We have the ability to perform custom crushing for our customers. If you have a custom order, we try to configure our plant to meet the needs of the job.
If you’re not sure what spec you need—or you already know exactly what you’re after—reach out and we’ll talk through what you’re trying to accomplish.
